Dr. Kameron Kuhni enjoys the artistry of creating beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime. When you walk into Kuhni Orthodontic Studio, Dr. Kuhni believes you become family. Which makes your experience so much more then just moving teeth. He loves interacting with individuals and families during their treatment as they develop confidence with themselves and their smile.
Sharing the joyful day when braces come off is bittersweet for Dr. Kuhni. He loves to experience the amazing milestone and is so proud of the hard work our orthodontic family members have put forth, but is sad that he won’t be able to see them on a regular basis.
Behind the smiles, Dr. Kuhni has an unhealthy addiction to G. H. Cretors Cheese and Caramel Popcorn and Peanut M&Ms that have melted in the sun. He also is known to be seen sipping on an outrageous amount of Dt. Mt Dew. (Not Dentist approved) Dr. Kuhni also loves fancy socks. The kid’s love seeing what crazy prints he has picked out for that day.
In the summer, Dr. Kuhni can be found on the lake waterskiing, traveling anywhere with a beach to be able to put his toes in the sand, taking his two kids for a four-wheeler ride, cooking hotdogs by a campfire, repelling in Zion National Park, or simply enjoying an evening walk with his high school sweetheart, Jodie. In the winter, Dr. Kuhni is no ski bunny on the slopes, but he is a ski stud! He takes his skiing to the next level finding jumps or seeing how fast he can race down the mountain. Dr. Kuhni sticks out like a sore thumb when skiing because he wears a matted down Raccoon hat from the 70’s that he has had since he was little.
Dr. Kuhni spent most of his childhood in Provo, Utah, but moved to Nephi, Utah as a sophomore in High School and claims Nephi to be where he grew up. Dr. Kuhni didn’t always want to be an orthodontist. His future was set out to work the family business of Animal Rendering. He quickly decided that wasn’t for him and set out to find his own path. He explored cabinetry, exercise sports science and firefighting among other interests, but it wasn’t until after volunteering and running on the Levan Town Ambulance, he quickly discovered a love for the medical profession and truly serving those in need. Upon further research, he shadowed an Orthodontist and fell in love with the additional aspect of intricate manual work, which is something Dr. Kuhni wanted to be apart of his everyday job.
Dr. Kuhni attended the University of Utah as an undergraduate while applying for dental school. After being accepted to multiple dental schools, he decided to accept an offer and pursue his education with the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He and his wife said goodbye to their Utah family and home and ventured across the country to Kentucky. After graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree, at the top of his class, with honors and being inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society in 2013, he was invited to stay at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry to continue his Orthodontic Residency and Dr. Kuhni gladly accepted. He graduated in 2016 with his Masters of Science in Dentistry and with a Certificate in Orthodontic and Craniofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Kuhni is proud to be apart of numerous dental organizations including the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics, Utah Association of Orthodontics, Golden Key Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
If you have continued to read this far, you should totally be congratulated! We hope you will come and see us at Kuhni Orthodontic Studio. We would love to show you the difference between being a patient at any other orthodontic practice or truly being family at ours.
